NEW FRONTIERS
Low vision is not a destiny, but a condition that can be addressed, understood, and rehabilitated. This awareness is the starting point of Vision 2025, the 15th International Conference of the International Society for Low Vision Research and Rehabilitation (ISLRR), to be held in Florence from 8 to 12 September, bringing together the largest and most qualified international community engaged in the care, study, and support of people with fragile vision.
In an age where longevity is paired with new vulnerabilities, Vision 2025 offers a unique space for multidisciplinary exchange: clinicians, researchers, optometrists, vision rehabilitation therapists, psychologists, companies and health institutions will come together to shape a more accessible and inclusive future. A comprehensive vision that embraces scientific evidence and empathy, technological innovation and person-centered care.
VEDERE International is proud to be media partner of the event. We believe that today more than ever, we need places that can inspire new alliances between specializations, but also between science and humanism. Numbers alone cannot tell the story of low vision: we need stories, experiences, and projects. We need skilled communities that know how to listen, support, and build effective and sustainable solutions.
In Florence, we will talk about neuroplasticity and augmented reality, about personalized approaches and health policies, about new metrics and intervention strategies. But above all, we will talk about people. Because the most advanced research only makes sense when it restores dignity, autonomy, and quality of life.
Vision 2025 is not just a conference: it is a chance to look ahead. Together.
Good luck to all participants!
