\nAfter the Second World War, at the end of the 1940s, Sergio Rimini<\/b> founded the publishing company and over the years published several specialised magazines, both owned and managed, including: Selezione Medica, Ingegneria Chimica, Il Laboratorio, Fercasa, LPT – Lavanderia, Pulitura a secco e tintoria, Tinctoria, Kit International.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”1953″]\n

His nephew Claudio Morpurgo<\/strong>, who had joined the company in the meantime, created VEDERE<\/strong>, the first Italian optical and eyewear magazine.
\nThe first issue was published in April 1953.<\/u><\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”1970″ titlealign=”right”]\n

First edition of AOI<\/strong> – Annuario Ottico Italiano<\/strong> (Italian Optical Yearbook)<\/strong>, with data on the Italian optical and eyewear manufacturers and all the optical shops in Italy.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”1971″]\n

\nIn accordance with the needs of the market, VEDERE becomes international<\/strong> at the initiative of Claudio Morpurgo<\/strong> who, as a polyglot and cosmopolitan, transforms it into the world’s first international magazine for the optics and eyewear sector with texts in four languages and worldwide distribution. It is the first magazine to deal with eyewear issues on a global scale, to present the proposals of manufacturers and designers to the market in over 100 countries around the world. The word “International”<\/strong> is added to the title, maintaining the term VEDERE<\/strong>, which has now taken on the value of a “logo” beyond its meaning in Italian.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”1974″ titlealign=”right”]\n

VEDERE CONTACT<\/strong> is born, focusing on contactology, which will be absorbed into VEDERE International<\/strong> in 1999.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”1990″ titlealign=”right”]\n

Claudio Morpurgo<\/strong> passed away prematurely. His daughter Isabella Morpurgo<\/strong>, who had worked alongside him for years, continues the family tradition.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”1992″]\n

VEDERE International<\/strong> splits in two and gives birth to VEDERE TECH International<\/strong>, the first magazine, in four languages and with worldwide circulation, that keeps up to date with the latest technological developments, regulatory requirements and problems concerning manufacturing in the eyewear sector.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”1997″ titlealign=”right”]\n

\nFirst in its category, VEDERE Multimedia<\/strong>, a magazine on CD-ROM, joined its paper sister publications for a few years to integrate them with its peculiar features.

\nEyewear & Fashion<\/strong> is born, the new trait-d’union between eyewear, fashion and the end consumer, to provide those working in the eyewear sector with anticipations, trends, developments and input from the Fashion world.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”2003″ titlealign=”right”]\n

Morpurgocommunications<\/strong>, the press office specialised in the world of optics and eyewear, is founded.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”2004″]\n

Vedere TECH International<\/strong> changes its name to TECH International<\/strong> and widens its range of action to include the goldsmith, watch and jewellery sectors. The texts are in Italian and English.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”2005″ titlealign=”right”]\n

Eyewear & Fashion<\/strong> changes its name to E&F<\/strong> and becomes an international lifestyle publication on the world of fashion, beauty, art, design, luxury and shopping.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”2006″]\n

E&F<\/strong> is complemented by the CD-ROM preview of the October and March issues. The publication and distribution occurs in February and September on the occasion of the pr\u00eat-\u00e0-porter shows in Milan.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”2007″ titlealign=”right”]\n

\nThe AOI<\/strong> – Annuario Ottico Italiano<\/strong> MARCHI<\/strong> (Italian Optical Brands Yearbook<\/strong>) was created to help the Italian opticians identify the suppliers of their eyewear collections or product lines. The brands and trademarks are listed in alphabetical order and the publication is sent once a year to all opticians.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”2009″ titlealign=”right”]\n

The AOI<\/strong> – Annuario Ottico Italiano (Italian Optical Yearbook)<\/strong> – with the directory of the Italian opticians, which until now has been published every four years, changes its look and becomes available in the digital version or, on request, printed on paper for each region.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”2010″]\n

VEDERE ITALIA<\/strong> is born<\/p>\n

Since 2010 there are thus two versions of VEDERE<\/strong>: VEDERE Italia<\/strong>, in Italian and with national circulation, and VEDERE International<\/strong>, with texts in English and worldwide circulation. Once a year, the two editions are merged on occasion of the Special issue for Mido, the sector’s most important trade fair held in Milan.<\/p>\n[\/mvc_timeline_son][mvc_timeline_son centerstyle=”dot” maintitle=”2015″ titlealign=”right”]\n
